The Tramway Heritage Centre is home to the largest preserved heritage tram collection in Victoria, including the only complete collection of “W Class” trams in the world.
We wish to advise that as a result of activity on our site by persons who have illegally entered and removed items from several of our buildings and infrastructure, the Tramway Heritage Centre is temporarily closed whilst we conduct repairs to our site.
This is the fifth time we have experienced these occurrences in recent years, and as a volunteer based, not for profit organisation, we find it hard to understand why anyone would want to destroy the values that go into building, maintaining and operating such a facility.
We hope to see you in 2025!
